I’m going to be doing some last minute baking and gift wrapping tomorrow to be ready for Christmas with my family at my brother’s house. One of the things I’ll be preparing is six jars of magic reindeer food. This looks like a really cute craft idea to have my daughter help me with. I’m sure Grace and her cousins will enjoy having it for Christmas Eve. I’ll probably make one for Darren too even though he’ll have no clue what’s going on. I can’t just leave him out. 🙂
I have all of the ingredients for magic reindeer food already and I have some baby food jars from when Darren ate it. We almost gave them away until crafts came to mind.
For this craft all we’ll have to do is layer some oatmeal, sugar, something along the lines of shiny sprinkles or colored sugar crystals. Then either close it with the baby food jar lid or find something around the house to make it similar to the picture. Then  we’ll print and attach the little poem too.
Sprinkle on the lawn at night
The moon will make it sparkle bright
As Santa’s reindeer fly and roam
This will guide them to your home.
*Note: This was not my own idea. I found this Magic Reindeer Food on www.dltk-holidays.com. They also have templates available on their post which you can get to by clicking above.
