Amplicom USA was started in 2010 with the help of the European brand. Their products are created for the 30 million Americans who experience some hearing loss. The product we tried out was the Amplicom TCL 200 Alarm Clock which is a great device for those with hearing loss. My dad has lost a majority of his hearing due to his time in the military. He’s had one alarm that he’s been able to use and that was on an old phone. I couldn’t wait to give him the TCL 200 to try out!
Here’s what he had to say after trying it out for a short time:
“The Alarm Clock I have been reviewing has been the perfect fit for my hearing condition. The features that I especially like are the button that you can reach over and push to hear the loud audible time and the big lighted face plate that gives you a constant time and can even double as a night lite. There are so many more features that I have not really used yet and am anxious to try. Battery operated or AC features give the customer options that would otherwise not be available. This value added option is much needed in today’s mobile world. As a disabled veteran, I am thankful that someone took the ingenuity, time, and finances to make a product that is truly handicapped user friendly.”
My dad also told me that there is an alarm setting that will have a light turn on when the
alarm is going off. That is a wonderful idea to help those with hearing loss!
Personally, I like the idea of the vibrating pad that goes along with it. Sometimes I wonder if that would help my inability to get up in the mornings!
The functions of this alarm clock include:
- Announces the time and alarm time in 5 selectable
- languages (English, Spanish, French, German, or Italian)
- Alarm time displayed at the press of a button
- Dual alarm time setting
- Connect phone line to use as a ring amplifier/signaler

- 3 different alarm settings (loud signal, vibration or both)
