Llama Llama Red Pajama is one of my favorite children’s books. I first heard of this book a couple of months ago when I heard about Jumpstart’s Read for the Record campaign (which, by the way, DID break their record this year!). For those who don’t know, this book was the one that was read to over 2 million children on October 6, 2011 as part of the campaign to help bridge the gap of early learning.
“Llama, Llama red pajama waiting, waiting for his mama. Mama isn’t coming yet. Baby Llama starts to fret.”
Llama Llama Red Pajama, written by Anna Dewdney, is a great book for children that touches on bed time anxiety and being separated from parents. Our three year old daughter loves the story and the great pictures that go along with it. It is high on my list of favorite children’s books.
You can purchase your own copy of Llama Llama Red Pajama for a special child in your life for just $10.55 on amazon.com. But, before you BUY one…

My youngest son is 10 years younger than my oldest, so his worst struggle with naptime is wanting to be up with everyone else. He doesn’t want to miss out on what his brother and sisters are doing.
