I’m back in the dating game. This is my second go with these dating apps since my divorce was finalized last year. I met my ex boyfriend via POF and because of him I KNOW there are good men out there and I’m not stuck wondering if they really exist.
Actually, because of my experiences so far, I’ve learned to NOT SETTLE. Not in the slightest. I KNOW what I want in a future partner and I’m not going to back down just for the sake of meeting someone. I am pretty picky in what I want and it can lead to discouragement since not many match up to my minimum standards to even strike up a conversation. But I’m okay with that.
Not everyone is for me. Not everyone is for you. And you know what? That’s OKAY! That’s GOOD! When you know what you want, it’s a wonderful feeling. It gets even better when you find someone who matches up to what you are looking for. I feel more excitement with finding the few than I do with the multiple messages I receive from men who obviously haven’t even read my profile. Or the ones who try to get me to change what I want. Or the ones who put me down for knowing what I want.
I’m turning 34 this year. I have three children. Long term, yes I want to find someone to marry, my real forever person. I don’t want to waste my time meeting all of the wrong people. Instead, I’m enjoying the bits of excitement over coming across someone who meets my picky standards and spending time getting to know him.

You go girl! It’s best to go into relationships when you know you’ll be compatible. Never understood people going into relationships with someone they want to fix. Best of luck in your search!
