I just recently heard about a local three year old boy who is dealing with cancer. He has Pleuropulmonary Blastoma which is only found in about 10 children a year in the United States.
When he was admitted to Akron Children’s Hospital, a tumor the size of a football was found. It was crowding his heart and had caused a lung to collapse. He went through chemotherapy treatments and had surgery one week ago to remove the tumor. His family’s insurance believed removing a tumor is an elective surgery and did not cover it. They are having a fundraiser dinner this weekend to help raise funds for all of the medical expenses.
The dinner will be held SATURDAY, JANUARY 22nd, 4:30-7:30pm at St. Matthew’s Church – Father Silva Center. The church is located at 2603 Benton Street in Akron, near Ellet High School. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children. Desserts will be available for $1 each and you can purchase raffle tickets for $1-$15.
If you’re not able to attend the dinner, you can donate any amount through PayPal. Currently, you can click here and follow the link to donate via AkronOhioMoms.com.
Not only are his parents dealing with a sick 3 year old, they also have a baby to tend to through all of this. Can you be the hope that Ryan Encinas needs?

Yea… I have no idea what they’re thinking! That’s a terrible thing to tell a family dealing with such a terrible thing with such a young child. I really hope they’re able to raise enough money to cover their expenses. Praying for everything to get better so little Ryan can get back to a normal life of a 3 year old.
I’ll check out your blog too.
